Do You Feel Lost Inside the Pages of Your Bible?

Have you tried to read the Bible and just ended up overwhelmed and frustrated? You're not alone. In fact, lots of Christians, who love Jesus, have experienced this.

Or maybe you've felt, bored? And you know you shouldn't, but you do. Again, you're not alone—but it turns out, when you understand the BIG picture of Scripture, you won't be bored any more.

Understanding produces clarity. But if you don't understand what you're reading, you won't have clarity, and you won't enjoy your time in God's Word.

Things like knowing the difference between an epistle and an apostle, and understanding the story of biblical Israel, will help you wrap your arms around understanding the Bible.

The Sunday Morning Scramble...

I'm not talking about breakfast eggs, or even the chaos of getting you, and if you're a mom, your children and your husband out the door and to church on time. Why does time seem to go faster on Sundays?

By Sunday Morning Scramble, I mean the part where you're scrambling to follow your pastor as his sermon bounces from Old Testament to New and back-again. The scramble of trying not to look lost as you flip the pages of your Bible looking for the teeny tiny little book of Ruth. It's only four chapters, so it can seem like a needle in a haystack, as you search as quietly as possible—hoping no one else has noticed you're lost.

After you take the Bible Basics Course, you won't feel lost anymore. In fact, you'll probably be able to help someone next to you who is mid-scramble.

I Know What it's Like to Feel Lost Inside of God's Word.

I'm Liz Cobo. I'm a seminary-trained Christian apologist, apologetics mentor, Bible teacher, and host of the unBIBLED podcast—where I teach Christian women about the Bible, about the core beliefs of Christianity, and how to defend those beliefs and engage with culture gracefully.

And I love studying the Bible.

I've lost track of how many times I've read it cover-to-cover. I don't say that to brag, but to encourage you that you can go from feeling totally lost inside the Bible, to reading it so much, so often, that you lose track of the thing you thought you could never do, finish it!

For too many years, I lived my life unBIBLED, not knowing God's Word for myself.

I would try to read the Bible and never make it past Leviticus in the Old Testament.

And I mistakingly thought because it was an ancient text it wasn't relevant to my modern life. I could not have been more wrong.

The Bible is the living and active Word of God. It is authoritative in the life of a Christian. And it is for you.

You can learn to read it. Study it. Understand it. And enjoy it.

I'd love to help you.
